Your Transport views

Jas needed to pass her driving test and get a licence she was desperate to get her own set of wheels. She was 6 months away from moving to university she needed a licence in order to have her own car at university, she was fed up of public transport.

She walked into the kitchen where her mom was making a Sunday roast. ''Hey mom i really really want to get a drivers licence you and dad have bought me that really nice car but you know I'm not allowed to drive that until ive taken lessons and passed my test. You and dad did that on purpose and your not even letting me keep the keys.'' Jas sulked whilst her mom just laughed and her Dad walked into the Kitchen ''what's with the sulking Jas.'' Her dad said as he walked past her rubbing her head and messing her hair up in the process. '' Oh dad why are you pretending like you don't already know. You guys bought me that car but if its mine i can't even have the keys whats the point of that'' Her dad sat down at the coffee table and drank some coffee and said '' Darling we bought you that car so it is your car but we cannot give you the keys until you've passed and you know me and your mom will be happy to give you lessons but you have must apply for your provisional license first and then we can take it from there.'' Jas smiled cheekily ''Talking about provisional i applied for it last week and guess what ive got it yesterday in the post so now can we take some lessons ive even bought some L plates'' Her mom shook her head whilst laughing. '' My my my aren't we in a hurry to pass well OK i will be more than happy to give you a taster lesson behind the wheel and i know how much you want to drive before you go university we have a surprise in store for you.'' Jas's mom Melinda chirped. Jas looked excited ''what is it what is it?'' Her dad handed her a leaflet '' Driving lessons course where you can learn to drive in a a fortnight and have your drivers licence in a fortnight. This driving lessons course also covers theory test and provides full practice and mock tests to help you pass.'' Jas leaped out of her chair and hugged her parents. ''Hey calm down you will knock me coffee over'' Jas's Dad Gavin laughed ''Listen now we have organised this driving lessons course to run from next Monday you will be expected to stay at the accommodation provided by the driving lessons course agency. However although this company has a 90% pass rate but there's always a possibility that you might not pass first time round but do not ever get disheartened you just have to try it again until you do pass.'' Advised Gavin. ''Stop being negative its driving how hard can it be'' Jas said all confidently.

It had been the day of the practical test two later before Jas had taken the theory test at the centre and she came out with the maximum pass marks she was overly confident her stay at the driving course was exciting and she was loving it. There were other driving students amongst her. She had gotten the hand of driving pretty quickly and she knew she could do this. The 45 minutes in test seemed like forever and when it was over she waited to get her result as they parked up she took her seat belt off and waited to hear from the examiner. ''Oh I'm sorry Jas you've not passed this time do you want me to go through where you went wrong.'' Jas was so distraught she wanted to cry she put so much effort in this course. ''No thanks.'' The examiner walked off. She was to be picked up by her dad and as soon as he saw her crying he went rushing and hugged her. '' Hey hey its OK it's not the end of the world Hun and so what if you've failed it was your first time hardly anybody passes first time and plus now you know what a test is like you can be prepared next time.''

Two months later Jas had a another test booked and this time she was taking hourly lessons off a driving instructor she was very nervous this time round and she knew that the examiner could fail her own anything so she had to drive to the best of her ability and according to the driving test standards. She had butterflies as she went to sit in the car with the examiner and off they went.

Gavin was waiting at home as he saw Jas come back from the test she didn't look so happy he had to be there for her. As she walked through the door Gavin was about to hug her with a sympathetic look when she screamed in joy ''Ive passed, ive passed oh my gosh this is crazy'' That night all of Jas's family went out to celebrate. Jas could finally drive her car and take it to university.
